THERAPY TEAM

Deb Hopper is an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) with 25 years of working with children and adults. She focuses on:

  • Autism & ADHD
  • Learning differences
  • Executive Functioning
  • Sensory processing and behaviour differences
  • Sensory Modulation & Trauma
  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)
  • Emotional Regulation
  • Supporting children to develop skills for daily tasks, including:
       • fine and gross motor skills,
       • sleep and settling,
       • toileting, and
       • continence assessment and planning
  • Functional Capacity Assessment & reports

    Deb is available to work in various settings, including:

    • Homes
    • Preschools / Playgroups/ Schools / Community Settings
    • Transition programs from primary to high school and high school to post-school options

    Availability
    Monday 8 – 12 pm Taree or Tuncurry
    Tuesday 8 – 12 pm Taree
    Wednesday 8 – 12 pm Tuncurry
    Thursday 8 – 12 pm Taree

     

      Deb is passionate about how sensory-driven behaviours are often misunderstood as negative behaviours. She enjoys customising sessions to meet each individual’s unique needs. Deb also presents workshops and supervises occupational therapists nationally, sharing her vast knowledge and experience.

      Deb works with children from babies to those transitioning from high school to adulthood, and she loves working with adults who have sensory processing differences. Her dedication to understanding and supporting sensory needs makes her a valuable asset to her clients and colleagues alike. 

        Qualifications

        She holds a Bachelor of Health Science (OT), and Masters of Health Science (OT), and is a course junky, regularly extending her skills.
