TEACHING KIDS
TO MANAGE ANXIETY

Empowering parents and educators
to help kids combat their anxiety

Anxiety is on the rise among children and young people. As a parent, you feel powerless or at your wit’s end, wondering how to help your child. It’s your heart’s desire to see your child thrive and it’s difficult to watch your child struggle.

As a paediatric occupational therapist with 20+ years’ experience working with families and kids, I’ve personally witnessed a dramatic increase in anxiety-related issues. I set out to write a book to empower parents and educators to understand what’s going on in young minds and how to make a difference.

My Amazon bestseller, Teaching Kids to Manage Anxiety, helps
parents and educators understand kids’ concerns and teaches kids the importance of formulating a plan, a vital key in overcoming anxiety. It’s an intensely practical book teaching easy-to-implement strategies that work.

More Kids’ Books

During 20+ years of working with kids who struggle with anxiety, sensory processing and learning difficulties, I’ve learned a lot about children’s behaviour and why they act the way they do. I’ve written two children’s books to address some of the recurring issues and help kids overcome a variety of challenges.

Fireworks Freak-Out: How Eddy and Monica Chill-Out* tells the story of two children who experience sensory overload while watching the fireworks. I unpack this issue while teaching kids and adults easy-to-implement strategies to turn an overwhelming event into a fun and memorable occasion.

Alex Learns that Changes are OK is a delightful story about a boy who struggles with worry and anxiety when he has to deal with change. His mum discovers a cool trick to help Alex feel comfortable with change and keep his worry under control.
