HOT TOPIC: Anxiety, stress and resilience for kids

Anxiety affects up to 20% of children and teenagers. Anxiety can impact on being able to participate in school activities, self-care tasks at home and social interaction. In this Hot Topic segment, Deb Hopper will look at triggers for anxiety and stress in children and some bite-sized strategies to your child or the children you work with. RSVP Essential!
HOT TOPIC: Auditory Processing: “I can hear you but I don’t know what you’re saying!”

Often children struggle with concentration, attention, understanding instructions or are bothered or distracted by noise. Many children who have these difficulties have underlying auditory processing difficulties. In this HOT TOPIC segment, Deb Hopper will outline how auditory processing can impact on children from day to day and strategies for helping in the program and also outline The Listening Program as an advanced practice strategy.
